The
famed anthropologist Margaret Mead said:
Never doubt that a small group of
thoughtful, committed citizens can change
the world. Indeed, it is the only thig
that ever has. I am filled with gratitude
to our thoughtful and committed community
for making Catholic Schools Week 2007
a successful and meaningful celebration
of the Good News in Catholic Education
which goes on each day at Saint Francis
Academy.
Sincere
thanks to:
- All
who made the Annual Pasta Dinner and
Mass a great success particularly our
chef, Nick Fargo, and all our talented
kitchen helpers and clean-up crew.
- Fr.
Robert Reiser SJ, President of St. Peter's
Prep, and Fr. Kevin Hanbury, Vicar of
Education. Thank you for celebrating
the holy sacrifice of the Mass with
us.
- Our
wonderful Parents' Guild, these ladies
never stop working and every activity
is carried out in the true Franciscan
spirit.
- Rose
Carrion and our volunteers who are available
with a helping hand whenever we call
upon them.
- Our
talented sisters, faculty and staff,
the many activities planned for Catholic
Schools' Week were executed with their
leadership and organizational skills.
The sacrifices they make daily for Catholic
Education are deeply appreciated.
- Our
school ambassadors, our guests at Open
House were extremely impressed by their
well spoken enthusiasm for Saint Francis
Academy.
- Our
Eight Grade class, they set up chairs
and tables endlessly and helped with
every activity during Catholic Schools'
Week.
- ALL
our parents, you donated gifts for the
Chinese Auction, made lunch for Grandparents'
Day, prepared crazy socks and ties,
studied Spelling and Math Bees, sewed
costumes for Name That Character, and
attended our Awards Ceremony. You are
the salt of the earth.
- All
our beautiful students from Pre-K through
Grade 8, you participated, you studied,
you prayed, you sang, you spelled, you
smiled, you wrote, you created. You
are the Good News for the future of
our church and our world. God bless
you.
Your
thoughtful and committed dedication to
Catholic education and Saint Francis Academy,
in particular, is a blessing. You and
and your children make difference in our
worl by being an active presence of holiness,
the light of the world bringing the Good
News to those who live in the darkness.
God bless you for your many sacrifices
in the name of Catholic education. |
