Dear
Parents,
Under the beautiful November sky all are hard
at work here at Saint Francis Academy. The sounds
of learning permeate the halls and prayer is
the constant melody that provides the background
music of our day. Grade Eight is busily preparing
for their high school entrance exam (COOP) on
Friday, November 10th. Our violin class of ten
students is off to a rousing start under the
direction of violinist, Rafael Frost, and as
I write this letter I can hear our band merrily
practicing Christmas Carols. The Rutgers Science
Explorer was parked outside our doors on the
8th of November advancing the laboratory skills
of our 7th and 8th Grade. Report cards are being
worked on in the Teacher’s Lounge to the
joy or consternation of the children. Our wonderful
Parents’ Guild is diligently employed
completing the many tasks required to make our
Card Party a huge success. School and Christmas
pictures are scheduled for November and many
of our students and teachers are readying our
Thanksgiving Liturgy. Our Food Drive is in full
swing and I am certainly looking forward to
the Pre-K and Kindergarten Thanksgiving Luncheon.
This beehive of activity could not run smoothly
without the diligence and detailed planning
of the caring and dedicated community at Saint
Francis Academy. God has smiled upon us with
the presence of our Missionary Franciscan Sisters,
our marvelous faculty and staff, and our supportive
concerned parents and benefactors, but our greatest
gift, the reason for St. Francis Academy’s
being, is your child. Our mission is to allow
our students to experience the fullness of life
through our Lord, Jesus Christ. With your help,
sacrifice and prayers we endeavor each day to
bring the Good News to our precious students
and the community that we serve.
May your loving family and friends surround
you during this season of Thanksgiving, may
God grace your family with good health and a
spirit of gratitude for His plentiful gifts.
